I wish I knew where, but I'm pretty sure EGW said we should be vocal against things that are being done wrong by the country's leadership, but I might be wrong! I don't even know how I'd begin to look it up.

And Tammy, we've been keeping up with bills that are being passed without much time for people to read over them and vote...it's scary. Things are truly escalating fast. I hope the Church will make a stand against it. Let them not be like our church over here that supported racism.

I don't know, Thandi...I'm not very optimisitc...we just got the latest issue of NARLA Frontlines of Freedom (from the Religious Liberty Dept.) and there is a picture on the FRONT cover of Obama, quoting him, "Yes, We MUST!"  And the first paragraph says:

Quote A  new administration has come to town riding on the "Yes, We Can" slogan.  They have brought new ideas, Already changes have been made in the way things used to be done around town.  The world has its eyes on Washington, eager to see just how far the changes will go.  New people have moved into old offices with a vision of what can be done to make not only America, but the World, a better place....
 Their version of a "better place" is not mine!

Yesterday Al and I went around to local businesses and passed out the flyer about the upcoming Tea Party.  It was very well received.  Last night, we called a local radio station who is very active in the 9-12 Project, (http://912ohpa.ning.com/ )  here in our area.  Never met this man before, but we talked for a half hour and it was very encouraging.  He is going to bring the audio equipment and help us out at the rally. So many things are happening so quickly, we can see the Lord working wonderfully!

If any of you live in an area where there is a 9-12 group go meet them!  If they are anything like this group, you'll be glad you did.  They are not a bunch of radicals...just plain down to earth concerned Americans.

.
Thandi, you can write to the EGW Estate and ask them any question that you have about her writings.  They will be glad to answer your questions.  Write to mail@whiteestate.org.  Ask them if she said anything like that. Perhaps she did.  I would like to know what they say.

I spend a lot of time in the egwhiteestates.org---it will give you a wealth of information that is there for free. I keep it on my favorites. Or you can just google egwhite estates and they will give you many interesting links about Mrs. White.  Nice Sabbath reading.

But, Thandi, remember that anyone can write anything they want to on internet and so you willl find some really incorrect writings about plagarism, etc.  Ingore that.  Not even necessary to dwell on other people's sour grapes.  But there are so many good things to enjoy reading about the personal life of Mrs. White.

She says this:
Quote   The time will come when unguarded expressions of a denunciatory character, that have been carelessly spoken or written by our brethren, will be used by our enemies to condemn us. These will not be used merely to condemn those who made the statements, but will be charged upon the whole body of Adventists. Our accusers will say that on such and such a day one of our responsible men said thus and so against the administration of the laws of this government. Many will be astonished to see how many things have been cherished and remembered that will give point to the arguments of our adversaries. Many will be surprised to hear their own words strained into a meaning that they did not intend them to have. Then let our workers be careful to speak guardedly at all times and under all circumstances. Let all beware lest by reckless expressions they bring on a time of trouble before the great crisis which is to try men's souls. {CCh 317.1}

I'm sure some will take this statement and try to make the case that it is saying we should never speak against the government.  I don't believe that is true at all....  Should Christians in Communist countries be loyal to their government or should they take an active part in bringing in a new government?  That is an easy one, for me....  Christianity and Communism do not go together....and a real Christian will not be Pro-Communist.  So...if we see our government heading in the direction of a Communist government, what should we do....sit by and do nothing or do what we can to before it happens?  There is no doubt in my mind, we need to do what we can "while it is day!"

I'm really getting excited about the upcoming Tea Party!  We have a local TV station coming, several radio stations, the County newspaper, and more and more people are calling and wanting to help!  This truly is a grassroots effort that is well supported by the people....  the common people.  We have 6 people who are going to speak, none of whom hold public office.
